On 30 March 1972 special forces raided Kızıldere village in Niksar district, Tokat province and killed the 10 young men who had kidnapped three foreign hostages and kept them in Kızıldere. The victims included Mahir Çayan , Hüdai Arıkan , Cihan Alptekin, Nihat Yılmaz, Ertan Saruhan, Ahmet Atasoy, Sinan Kazım Özüdoğru , Sabahattin Kurt, Ömer Ayna and lieutenant Saffet Alp. The three hostages they held in an attempt to prevent the execution of three leaders (Deniz Gezmiş, Hüseyin İnan and Yusuf Aslan) were also killed.

Roger Waters concert in Istanbul
