Sound of music on Istiklal

This lovely and hot evening in August I took a little walk from Galata towards Taksim. Nothing special in this route in itself. I often stroll along Istiklal, taking sidetracks..

Have seen street musicians there every day and I can tell that I have contradicting feelings about street music.. Can be compared to street food. One can witness an extraordinary experience but also disappointment sometimes is possible.
But no disappointment this time on Istiklal.
During this relatively short walk I was overwhelmed by sounds of music … different genres and performers, spirits and temperament. Folk music, classical, jazz, etno-pop…

I enjoyed it all.
