Hi,
I know that Montani designed and Balyan constructed. I ‘ll ask again ..
I suggest you “Ömür biter , İstanbul Bitmez” of Eray Canberk and Rüknü Özkök. There is a tv serie of them in İz TV also. One poet and one author travel in streets of Istanbul.
regards
ozgur
Ohhh.. one of my favorites in the City! There are some researchers that they think it was the Italian architect Montani’s, while some believe Sarkis Balyan was the architect. Another suggestion is that Sarkis’s brother Agop Balyan participated in its design.. In short, it’s awesome, a tasty & rich mixture of Gothic, Turkish, Renaissance and glorious Ottoman Empire styles combined into it.
